Fundraising for a world-class surgical robot is well on its way, with the campaign already bolstered by a generous $500,000 private donation. 

Chair of the Palmerston North Hospital Foundation, Brendan Duffy, says their donor was proud to support the project but wanted to keep their name out of the limelight.

The Foundation has announced its latest project, fundraising for a world-class surgical robot that will transform surgery and cancer care for the central North Island.

Operated by skilled surgeons, this cutting-edge technology makes surgery safer, recovery faster, and lets people get back to their lives sooner.

Young creativity is on display this season, as patients from Palmerston North Hospital’s Children’s Ward have teamed up with Manawatū Rugby players to create a special set of limited-edition rugby jerseys.

Kāinga Whakatipu, a Healthy Homes Initiative that supports whānau across the MidCentral region, has been able to expand their services to 50 more families thanks to the Eastern and Central Community Trust and Palmerston North Hospital Foundation’s facilitiation.
